DIRECTIONS
In order to apply for a campus leadership position you must complete the five steps as outlined below. 

1. == EMAIL COMPLETED APPLICATION TO SUPERVISOR ==
Right-click on the Application Form link and save the Word file to your desktop (in Word 2003 format).  Open the form, fill it out, save it (in Word 2003 format) ... and email it to the supervisor(s) listed below.  Note that this single application is used for all the listed positions.

2. == POST COMPLETED APPLICATION TO Bb PORTFOLIO ==
Create a new button called
Completed App (Go to Control Panel ... Manage Course Menu ... Add Content Area ... enter Completed App as the name ... check all 3 boxes ... Submit). 
Then post your application under
Completed App (Go to Control PanelCompleted AppAdd Item … enter Application as the name … Browse to find the application …  Submit) . 

3. == EMAIL REFERENCE FORM ==
All positions require that 2 reference forms be submitted to the hiring supervisor(s) listed above.  Your reference forms should be completed by 1) a Faculty member or a Residence Hall Director and 2) a current student leader (i.e. PA, DC, DA, TWO Cabinet, and so forth).  These references will work for any of the positions that you may be applying for.

 

Remember that people are busy.  In order for your reference contacts to meet the Feb. 22 deadline, you need to give them 3-5 days to complete the recommendation.


Right-click on the Reference Form link and save the file to your desktop (in Word 2003 format).  At the top of the form type in your name and check the position(s) for which you are applying.  Take note of the waiver section and enter your name on the indicated line if you wish to waive your right of access to the completed reference. 

Save the form in Word 2003 format using this exact format:  LastName_FirstName_Position(s)_ReferenceName.doc
(e.g.
Smith_John_TSO_Cosgrove.doc or if you are applying for two positions Smith_John_TSO_DC_Cosgrove.doc) and email it as an attachment to the individuals whom you have chosen to be references.  Instruct them to keep the same file name and forward by email the completed form to Christie Garrett prior to the Feb. 22 deadline.

4. == POST PHOTO IN PORTFOLIO ==
Make sure you have posted a picture of yourself (portrait shot) in the Photograph area of this portfolio. This will help the selection committee know who you are.

5. == FINAL STEP ==
Email Christie Garrett (chgarrett@taylor.edu) informing her of the position(s) for which you have applied.

Note A -- If you need assistance contact the Leadership Office in the Student Union.
Note B -- To check if your references have been submitted contact the supervisor of the leadership position.
